How Does A Scroll Compressor Work?
A refrigeration scroll compressor uses two interleaving scrolls, one moving and one stationary. The scroll that is moving doesn’t rotate it goes around the stationary scroll. Air gets pulled in through the intake. As the rotating scroll moves, the air is compressed. As the air is compressed the pressure increase. In the refrigeration cycle, the compressed gas is release which decreases the temperature of the air.
