R134A refrigerant and pressure chart checks

Use this R134A refrigerant route when the equipment label and service application call for R-134a. Confirm the system refrigerant, cylinder size, certification or resale requirements, recovery plan and job documentation before ordering.

For R134A pressure chart searches, use pressure-temperature data for the exact refrigerant. Common R-134a saturation references include 70 F at 71.1 psig, 80 F at 86.7 psig, 90 F at 104.3 psig and 100 F at 124.2 psig from the Forane R-134a pressure-temperature chart. Use service gauges and manufacturer procedures; do not diagnose charge from a single pressure number.

R134A has become the standard refrigerant choice for household appliances, small self contained refrigeration units, large chillers, and automotive air conditioning. R134a is also a common blending component. Requires POE lubricant to be used in the compressor. R-134A is the global standard for new mobile air conditioning and can be utilized to retrofit existing R-12 mobile air conditioning systems. Other uses include plastic foam blowing (as a cleaning solvent), a propellant for the delivery of pharmaceuticals, wine cork removers, gas dusters and in air driers for removing the moisture from compressed air.
