R-404A is a blend of HFC refrigerants, R-125, R-143A and R134A, commonly used for medium and low temperature refrigeration applications and offers excellent capacity and efficiency as a replacement for R-502 and R-22 in new and existing R-502 equipment. Most new supermarkets and refrigeration equipment are built for an HFC such as R404A. R404A has lower pressure than R502. Requires polyester lubricant. If retrofitting existing equipment, the original oil must be replaced with POE. It is non toxic and non flammable meeting the highest A1 Classification.
